Welcome to Florida4Marriage.org, the official sponsoring organization of the Florida Marriage Protection Amendment. "Florida4Marriage.org" is the political committee registered under Florida law which sponsors the constitutional amendment seeking to protect and preserve natural marriage between one man and one woman in Florida.

In seventeen states across America, people of all races, creeds and religions have spoken clearly by amending their state constitutions with overwhelming majorities to defend marriage from attack by a minority of people and activist judges who seek to totally redefine this sacred institution. Florida citizens also wish to add an amendment to our state constitution which will define marriage clearly and protect it from those that are willing to conduct a vast, untested, social experiment upon our children.

Children need to understand the proper relationship between a man and a woman, a mother and a father and a husband and a wife as they socialize into teenagers and then adults. We have seen the results of a generation of fatherless and motherless families and it consistently produces devastating consequences. While not always possible, as a matter of law the state should always favor a father and a mother over other family arrangements because this is what is in the best interest of children. Marriage and family can not be treated like food items on a smorgasbord where anyone can pick and choose any number or combination of things.

We wish to see marriage established as it was intended by nature, biology, tradition and just common sense--- between one man and one woman. Gay-identified persons should have all the same rights as everyone else in a free society. However no one has the right to wholesale redefine natural marriage and then force that definition upon the rest of society.
